On this Episode, number 79, of the “Just Bein’ Honest” Podcast, I am sharing with you some easy and integral puzzle pieces you need to incorporate in to your daily lifestyle in order to remain in a constant state of R + R (Relief and Relaxation).

Please follow along:


Find yourself a quiet place to sit. Turn off your phone and dim the lights. This is your time. A time for total relaxation and inner stillness.

Take a moment to make sure that you are warm enough, and that you are seated comfortably. Rest your hands loosely in your lap. Now close your eyes.

Take a long slow, deep breath in...hold it for a moment, and then slowly exhale. Just allow any tension to melt away as you gradually relax more and more deeply with each breath.

Take another long slow, deep breath in...hold it, and then exhale. Empty your lungs completely with your out-breath. Take a third deep breath in. Take your time. Hold it for a moment, and then let it go. Start to feel yourself drifting into a state of deep relaxation.

Inhale. Exhale.

Continue to breathe slowly and gently as you bring your awareness to the top of your head as you scan your body with full state of consciousness of simply, “being”. Imagine a feeling of relaxation beginning to spread down from the top of your scalp.... feel the muscles in your forehead and temples relax. Allow your eye muscles to release. Let your cheeks and jaw soften and let go of all tension.

Inhale. Exhale.

Now let this peaceful feeling flow down into your neck. Feel it loosening every muscle and every fiber.
With each breath you take, this relaxing feeling becomes deeper and warmer. It works its way deep into the muscles in your shoulders…soothing them…releasing them.

Inhale. Exhale.

This peaceful feeling flows down from your shoulders and into your arms. Roll your shoulders up, back and down your spine. Repeat this motion until you feel fully aligned and centered.

Inhale. Exhale.

Feel your neck loosen. Feel your shoulders soften. Feel your arms release. Feel your fingers open up.

Inhale. Exhale.

As your body relaxes, your mind relaxes, and your thoughts seem to become lighter. You are slipping further and further into a dreamlike state of stillness and relaxation. You are still. You are relaxed.

Inhale. Exhale.

Slowly bring your awareness to your chest and your stomach. Feel how this area of your body gently rises and falls as you take each breath. There is peace. The sensation is fluid and brings life, oxygen throughout your veins. You are comforted. You are soothed. You are here and now.

Inhale. Exhale.

Focus the senses on your upper back, and feel the wave of relaxation flow all the way down your spine. Imagine it spiraling down each vertebrae with glowing light. As it gradually works its way down your body, feel every muscle in your back relax and realign with strength.

Inhale. Exhale.

Feel your hips relax as the peaceful feeling starts to work its way through your lower body. Relax your glutes, the back of your thighs while winding in to the front of your thighs.

Inhale. Exhale.

Notice these powerful muscles become elongated and relaxed. Notice tension releasing. Notice soothing comforting through these muscles down to your knees and into your calves.

Inhale. Exhale.

Your ankles relax. Your feet relax. Your entire body is completely relaxed. At this time release any remaining tension out of your body. Drain it out of your fingers and your toes. Let your healing breath flow with ease throughout.

Inhale. Exhale.

Repeat this as many times as needed: “ I am comfortable. I am peaceful. I am relaxed.”

Inhale. Exhale.

Fully release the external world behind and visualize your inner self. Be still. Be here. Be now.

{When you are ready to return to your daily routines. Slowly wiggle your fingers and your toes. Stretch as you are awaking for the first time. Love your new state of mind and carefully move along your day.}
